Liquid Pool Covers ARE Safe for your Family & Pets!
One of the questions that I receive here, with astonishing frequency, is something to the effect of:
"My dog / baby / grandchild drinks the pool water as they swim...is Ecosavr / Heatsavr safe for them?"
The easy, simple, two word answer is: Of Course!. Nothing due to using a liquid pool cover will harm, or even be noticeable, to your loved ones if swallowed when in the pool water.
The more convoluted, technical answer is: when used as recommended, there is nothing in Heatsavr (or, therefore, Ecosavr) that will harm ANYONE or ANYTHING that drinks the pool water. The fact is the active ingredient in the product, the part that does all the work saving energy and water and heat in your pool, that ingredient is most commonly used in the cosmetics industry. Which means that you are almost guaranteed to already be using it in your everyday life. Lotions, lipsticks, shampoos, conditioners, soaps...they may all use have this ingredient in common.
In over 15 years Flexible Solutions has never, I'll say that again, NEVER EVER, had a health complaint. Not in regards to a baby, a puppy, or a rubber ducky. No health concerns at all.
Imagine this: the recommended dosage rate is 1 ounce for every 400 square feet of surface area. That translates into 1 ounce of Heatsavr for every 15,000 gallons of water. Tiny little bit of product... lots and lots of water.
In summary, Heatsavr is indeed safe for all members of your family, including the beloved furry, four-legged ones!
If you want more proof, Flexible Solutions does have safety tests, which you can view by clicking here.
Another really important concept about a liquid pool cover: there are no entrapment issues. If you dog decides to go for a swim, there is NO CHANCE that he will become entangled by a plastic pool cover. If your husband loses his way at night, he will get wet, but he will not get trapped. This is a very important issue to consider when installing a pool cover. Liquid Covers are obviously the smartest choice, right?
If you need anything else, ask! Send me an email! My blogs will often coincide with questions from my various readers and customers, so keep reading! There are some other posts that will help you with your Liquid Pool Cover questions, as well.
