How to Use Ecosavr, the original liquid solar pool cover
by Monique Nelson on September 15th, 2009

So, you have made the jump and purchased an Ecosavr and, for whatever reason you may have, you want more information on just how to use it before you plop it into your pool. Well, just to let you know, the instructions are on the back of the fish. But, I am going to break it down for you in a fool-proof step-by-step procedure right here.

1) Hold the Ecosavr so that the back is facing you with the dorsal fin (top fin) facing the sky.

2) Snip the fin on or just below the dotted line

3) Find the air bubble (the part that looks like it is moving inside the fish) and make sure it is right beneath the fin. Squeeze firmly on the fish until the air bubble is slowly released through the valve.

4) Drop it in your pool and watch is sink to the bottom.

IF your Ecosavr doesn't sink, you didn't get the whole air bubble out. You can cut a bit further down on the fin if you would like to make it easier on yourself (find the words "from" and "eyes" on the fin and cut between the two). Also, make sure that the air bubble didn't sneak over into the tail.
