It requires incredible talent to adequately inform a pool-owner-to-be about the responsibility that comes with owning a swimming pool, without talking yourself out of the deal. By focusing on the convenience of certain products, you can make the extra workload appear effortless, and increase the desire for a pool. How?

There are certain areas of pool ownership that are less appealing than others.

• Heating
• Algae Control
• Stain Proofing

Unfortunately, they are realities of pool ownership, and as a Builder / Designer, you will be doing no-one any favors if you aren't honest about those realities.

In your presentation, you may start out with the benefits, and then sort of allude to the responsibilities. 

"Swimming in your own backyard pool will make you feel like royalty, especially if you don't mind the slight[ly enormous] spike in your energy bill that means your water is nice and warm."

"There is nothing quite like looking into a sparkling blue pool and knowing that it is yours to enjoy - the time, money and energy you put into keeping it clean will be well worth it!"

"The tiling you chose perfectly showcases your personality - a scrub brush and a little elbow grease will take care of those stains so that you can see the beautiful design."
